Hello hello everyone!
Amanda here – wanting to give everyone a bit of a rundown on the Fall 2015 update for Phoenix Rising Massage Therapy LLC. For those who may not know, I am currently celebrating year number 4 at my current, and thus far only location (216 N. Green Bay Road, Suite 101) located in Thiensville, WI. I am thrilled to have made it to four years.
A little backstory for those who are not familiar the history of the business/success:
Most of those first couple of years, business primarily came through both word of mouth as well as most success was through Groupon.
The first year and a half with Groupon, was so successful that I was booked solid for nearly 10 months straight. When business slowed down after that initial success of the first Groupon (2011-2012), I again turned to Groupon in the summer of 2012. This time, knowing how I wanted to approach the Groupon deal, the Groupon deal was done in two separate parts. The first part was the initial wave of new Groupons for the summer, to be followed up with monthly sales of the Groupons. In this Groupon arrangement (Groupon round 2), I was booked again solid for almost two years straight! It wasn’t until this spring/summer that business began to slow down.
Updates:
During the summer of 2015, I have been alluding to updates that have been slowly in the works. One of these first major updates is that I am no longer affiliated with Groupon, and more importantly their online scheduler. I made the decision to switch over from Groupon’s online scheduler as I would’ve had to pay to use it monthly, to a free online scheduler called “massagebook.com” which is offered through my professional organization. I’m still learning the ins and outs of the massagebook.com scheduler, but so far, I’m enjoying it very much.
Also during the summer, I made decision to completely revamp the look of the website (http://phoenixrisingmxtherapyllc.massagetherapy.com/ ). Tweaking little things here and there. As well adding new tabs for greater information. Some of these new features includes the ten steps on what to expect when coming in for your first massage. I’ve also been working on updating the Business Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Phoenix-Rising-Massage-Therapy-LLC-134879036623354/timeline/?ref=hl) as well. Trying to update weekly when I am in the office with the usual important announcements regarding availability of massages, a general what’s happening and passing on any important information – i.e. road closures, etc.
Office Hours:
I am normally in the office on Saturdays from 8:30am-1:30pm with some variation on the schedule depending on the week. There may be days that I come in a little later or a little earlier. If you have been with me since the beginning (since the summer of 2011), the set hours of 8:30am-12:30pm are vastly different than when I first started! I used to be in the office from 8:30-5:30pm or later! Part of this was due to the extreme popularity of the first run of Groupons as well as the downside of being in the office only one day per week. After almost a year and a half of nearly 10-11 hour days, I found that maintaining the stamina needed for having the amount of energy for keeping that type of pace was too draining for me. In early summer of 2013, I decided to cut back my hours to being in the office from 8:30-3:00pm. However, again, I found that I needed to cut the hours back even more. That is how I’ve arrived to my current hours set of 8:30am-1:30pm. The current hours are working better for maintaining my standards of giving great massages.
